PIANO MASTER CLASSES, ADJUDICATION AND FESTIVALS
Patricia Romero brings decades of expertise to the stage and studio, offering a rare combination of international concert performance, advanced-level teaching, and adjudication at top-level piano competitions. Whether guiding aspiring young pianists, adjudicating festivals, or leading master classes, Patricia is deeply committed to musical excellence and education.
COMPETITIONS AND FESTIVALS
In March 2025, Patricia was invited to adjudicate the prestigious Regional London and South East Final of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA UK) Piano Competition. Since 2010, Patricia has also been the secretary of the pianoforte section of the Coulsdon and Purley Festival, developing the section into a highly successful regional competition attracting over 200 pianists annually, both under 18s and adults, who are predominantly based in the South London area, Surrey, and Kent. Since 2017, Patricia has expanded the competition by introducing a Concerto class, which has brought together some of the most exciting aspiring pianists from the music colleges in London and further afield to compete for the much sought-after prize of performing their chosen concerto with an orchestra. The concerto class, which has been positively received, has involved a collaboration with the conductors Dominic Grier, Jonathan Butcher, Russell Keable and John Lubbock, with recent winners of the competition having gone on to perform their concerto with the orchestras of those conductors, including the Worthing Philharmonic, the Erato Chamber Orchestra, the Havant Symphony Orchestra, the Kensington Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of St John’s.

MASTER CLASSES AND TEACHING
Over her career, Patricia has given lecture recitals and master classes on a broad spectrum of piano works and composers. Recently, in both 2023 and 2024, Patricia was invited to give Master Classes and a lecture at the Piano Summer Festival at St John’s College School in Cambridge.
Patricia is also an inspirational teacher with years of experience coaching pianists up to diploma standard and beyond, as well as chamber music groups. Patricia currently teaches the piano at the Trinity Music Academy in Croydon, London.
