“Patricia Romero is a pianist who controls with extraordinary beauty the art of phrasing: her performance of the Beethoven 2nd piano concerto had a perfect clarity and melodic expression. A stupendous performance.”
                                                                                                                         - El Universal, Guadalajara. Teófilo González Suárez

"I particularly liked the lovely singing tone her right hand produced in “Des Abends” in the Fantasiestucke Op. 12……. In “Estampes” I found her account of “Jardin sous la pluie” most evocative, especially where the rain fell in single pearly drops, glistening and feather-light, before the storm gathered force. Finally came Kabalevsky’s Sonata No. 3 Op. 46, a tremendously exhilarating work, Miss Patricia Romero’s response was something of a tour de force, with the rumbustious finale being especially memorable.”

“Patricia Romero showed great fluency, self-assurance and technical security in her recital last night…… In this pianist of undoubted sensibility, there is a brilliant future”
                                                                                                                                                          - “Música” Mexico City Farfán Cano

“A sensitive, highly talented musical player, Miss Patricia Romero has fine technical command and ability to produce her best under pressure of a concert performance. This is a quality essential to any musician, but it is rarely found with such competence and such grace and charm in execution”
                                                                                                                                                               - Norfolk News, Cheshire H.A.S.

“Clarity and directness were admirably blended in Bach’s Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue which opened the debut recital at the Wigmore Hall of the young Mexican pianist Patricia Romero last night…”
                                                                                                                                                                     - The Daily Telegraph DAWM

“Patricia Romero has the key to success. One of the most enjoyable items in the programme was the Gavota by the Mexican composer Manuel M. Ponce, in particular the lovely middle section played with great buoyancy and spring. I also liked her interpretation of Ravel’s Sonatine to which she gave a nice aristocratic feel. Movement de Menuet possessed a lovely stately grace, while the cascades of notes in Modere and Anime shimmered and sparkled.
Miss Patricia Romero has within her grasp impressive dexterity and fluency and this was also apparent in Liszt’s Grande Etude de Paganini, with each of the short variations played with great panache”.

“The Schumann received carefully prepared phrase-by-phrase treatment, often with many admirable points of interpretation……”
                                                                                                                                                                          - The Times Keith Horner

“Young Mexican pianist Patricia Romero gave an outstanding performance of piano masterpieces ranging from an early Beethoven Sonata to the “Fantasia Baética” by De Falla…….Miss Romero splendid playing was also seen in Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantasie and the B minor Sonata”
                                                                                                                                                                       - South Norfolk News H.A.S.

“There was certainly great intensity and fire in much of the playing of Patricia Romero in the Europa Gallery in Sutton last Sunday evening……The final item was Brahms’ Variations and Fugue on a theme of Handel Op. 24. Miss Romero moved magnificently around the no man’s land between baroque and romantic music and ended impressively the concluding fugue.”
                                                                                                                                                  - The Sutton Advertiser Howard Timms

“Miss Patricia Romero gave a fine performance of Chopin’s B flat minor Scherzo and the Sonata in B flat minor. An initial build-up in tension in the latter dissolved into the tranquil trio, but it was the Marche Funebre which remains with me, the gentle trio, beautiful in its simplicity and the return of the March, only to gradually fade away.”
